Primary partnerships
We work closely with our primary partners to ensure smooth transition from primary to secondary school and to offer primary pupils a chance to see what Regent High has to offer. The initiatives we run throughout the year and offer a great way of preparing primary pupils for life at secondary school as well as providing prospective parents with the opportunity to visit the school and find out more.
We welcome our future Year 7 students for a ‘Friendship Afternoon’ in March where they are invited to meet their future classmates and teachers, and enjoy a range of activities and events as well as refreshments.
We also feel that it is important for our primary partners to be able to benefit from our extensive community and business partnerships. This year for example, we invited primary pupils from Years 4 and 5 to take part in a science challenge, with the top 10 being invited to the school to present their findings to two of our prestigious business partners, Wellcome Trust and The Crick Institute.
We will be hosting further similar activities with our local primary schools, supported by our partners, throughout the year so look out for information on these.
