Whole School Reading Initiative Launched
We have embarked on an exciting new reading initiative this term to reinforce the excellent practice of developing and promoting high standards of literacy already in place at Regent High School. All students across the school will read ‘The Little Prince’ in their tutor time. Voted the best book of the 20th century in France, the challenge is designed to engage students in reading for pleasure to widen their vocabulary.
All students have been issued with a ‘reading passport’ in which they will record their opinions on the various books that they will read during tutor time this year. Certificates will be issued at the end of the year in recognition of their commitment to carrying out the task.
