Regent High School students shine at opening ceremony of Bloomsbury Festival

Regent High School students recently performed a samba spectacular at the opening ceremony of this year’s Bloomsbury Festival, a collaboration between hundreds of organisations who join together to offer a taste of the diverse and vibrant cultural life of central London and share a creative ethos. Our students supported groups from four primary schools, Argyle, Christopher Hatton, St Albans and Netley, before performing a musical finale in the centre of the park to rapturous applause.  A huge thank you to all students from Years 7-13 who performed like superstars.  We received wonderful comments from bystanders and audience members which is a compliment to students’ dedication and effort in making it an amazing performance and one to be remembered.

It was wonderful to have Regent High School involved in the Bloomsbury Festival for the first time this year; the enthusiastic members of the wonderful samba band lent a real energy to the opening evening's celebration, The Collectors, and brought a lot of joy to everyone involved, including children from four different local primary schools.Regent High School is the closest secondary school to Bloomsbury and it has been an absolute pleasure developing a working relationship with them.  We very much hope to continue this in future years.
