Holocaust Exhibition inspires Year 9s
Our Year 9 students took a trip to the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth to support work they have been doing in class.
Students were immediately impressed with the 100 tonne, 17 metre long naval guns which mark the entrance to the museum. Inside, students participated in a discussion led by museum representatives on the Holocaust. Workers were evidently impressed with students’ knowledge and enthusiasm for the topic.
Students then toured the Holocaust Exhibition, giving them a greater understanding of what life was like for Europe’s Jews and other persecuted minority groups between 1933 and 1939.
Following the trip, students have been able to reflect on the exhibition and take home valuable lessons from the chronicles of European history and applied what they learnt to the work they are doing in class.
