Education and politics
In January our Sixth Form EAL students visited the Houses of Parliament in Westminster to gain an insight into politics. Students were taken on a guided tour of the building and the famous Great Hall, and learnt about key events in the history of the monarchy in the UK. Sixth Formers were also able to listen to an enlightening debate in the House of Commons, take part in a mock election and speak to local MP Frank Dobson who talked to them about the impact of politics on the education system.
