A taste of French culture

A group of students from Years 9 and 11 boarded the Eurostar to Lille in December. Upon arrival in the French city, students visited the old quarter where they were impressed by the culture and architecture. Hassan Mohomoud relished the opportunity to practice his language speaking skills, by using his best French to ask a passer-by for directions to the magnificent Notre-Dame de la Treille Cathedral. Following a spot of French food for lunch students took to the traditional Christmas markets, providing a good opportunity for students to spend their Euros. Students were a credit to the school throughout their trip. This is just one example of our commitment to ensuring students are provided with a wide range of opportunities outside the classroom to offer a variety of learning experiences.
